Privacy Policy
Effective July 1, 2026
RealQuest (“RealQuest,” “we,” “us”) is a gamified platform that helps teenagers (ages 13–17) learn to build and run real businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you and your parent or guardian have. We wrote it to be readable by both founders (teen users) and the parents who set up and pay for their accounts.
1. Who RealQuest is for
RealQuest is intended for teen founders aged 13 to 17, with a parent or legal guardian involved. RealQuest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. A parent or guardian links to each founder’s account, provides consent, and is the account holder for any paid plan. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us at privacy@realquest.ai and we will delete it.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. Name or display name, email address, and sign-in identifiers (e.g. a Google account) for both the founder and the linked parent/guardian. Parents may set a PIN to access the parent dashboard.
- Content you create. The businesses, brands, logos, websites, documents, customer/CRM entries, invoices, and other materials founders build in the platform.
- AI interactions. Prompts, questions, and inputs you send to the in-app AI mentor and AI tools, and the responses generated.
- Usage and device data. Activity such as quests completed, features used, approximate analytics, and standard technical data (browser type, device, IP address) needed to operate and secure the service.
- Payment information. For paid plans, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited billing details such as plan, status, and the last four digits.
- Information from connected services. If a founder connects a social account or a custom domain, we receive the tokens and data needed to publish on their behalf.
3. How we use information
- To provide, personalize, and improve the platform and its quests, tools, and AI features.
- To host and publish the websites and content founders choose to make public.
- To manage accounts, parent–child linking, consent, and seat/subscription entitlements.
- To process payments and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To communicate about the service (important account, security, and billing notices).
- To keep RealQuest safe, enforce our User Agreement, and comply with the law.
4. AI features
RealQuest’s AI mentor and tools are powered by third-party AI providers (for example, Anthropic) that process your inputs to generate responses. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use founders’ private content to train our own models. AI providers process content under their own terms to deliver the feature. AI output can be inaccurate — it is educational, not professional (legal, financial, or tax) advice.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run RealQuest:
- Service providers that operate the platform — for example hosting and database (Supabase), site hosting/CDN and TLS (Netlify, Cloudflare), payments (Stripe), email delivery, and AI providers — under contracts that limit their use of the data.
- At your direction — e.g. publishing a website, connecting a domain, or posting to a social account you link.
- Legal and safety — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of users and the public.
- Business transfers — if RealQuest is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that deal.
6. Social media integrations & YouTube API Services
RealQuest lets founders connect social accounts to publish content they create. When you connect a platform, we receive and store the access tokens and basic account/channel details needed to publish on your behalf and to show you how a post performed. You can disconnect a connected account at any time in RealQuest (Social Studio), which deletes the stored tokens.
YouTube. RealQuest’s YouTube feature uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and RealQuest’s use of information received from the YouTube API is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy. We use the YouTube API only to (a) identify the channel you choose to connect, (b) upload the videos you choose to publish, and (c) read basic statistics (such as views, likes, and comments) for videos you posted through RealQuest. We do not use YouTube data for advertising or profiling, and we do not share it with third parties other than the service providers that operate our platform.
Revoking access & deleting your data.In addition to disconnecting inside RealQuest, you can revoke RealQuest’s access to your Google and YouTube data at any time through the Google security settings page (myaccount.google.com/permissions). When you disconnect or revoke, we delete the associated tokens and stop accessing your data. You may also request deletion of any stored post history by emailing privacy@realquest.ai.
7. Public content & published sites
A core part of RealQuest is shipping real things. Websites, portfolios, and other materials a founder chooses to publish (for example at name.realquest.ai or a connected custom domain) are public and can be viewed, shared, and indexed by search engines. Founders should not include sensitive personal information in published content. Parents can review and help manage what is published.
8. Children’s privacy & parental controls
Because founders are minors, parents/guardians are part of the experience. Through the parent dashboard, a parent can review their teen’s account, manage linking and consent, manage the subscription and seats, and request access to or deletion of their teen’s information. Parents may exercise these rights on behalf of their teen by contacting us.
9. Data retention
We keep information for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. You can delete content in the app, and you can request deletion of an account as described below.
10. Your choices & rights
- Access & export. RealQuest includes a one-click export of your data (Founder Tools → Export).
- Correction & deletion. You can edit or delete content in the app, or ask us to delete your account and associated personal information.
- Marketing. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
To make a request, email privacy@realquest.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA; we honor applicable rights.
11. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers) to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
12. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, keep you secure, and understand how the product is used so we can improve it. We do not use third-party advertising trackers to profile teens.
13. Where data is processed
RealQuest is operated in the United States, and information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps so that transfers comply with applicable law.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as RealQuest evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
